Sara Khadem, born on March 10, 1997, in Tehran, Iran, and now representing Spain, is an accomplished chess player holding the titles of International Master and Woman Grandmaster. A prodigious talent from a young age, she won the Asian Under-12 Girls Championship in 2008 and the World Girls Under-12 Championship in 2009, later claiming the Asian and World Under-16 Girls Blitz titles in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, she finished second in the World Junior Girls Championship, affirming her status among the world’s elite young female players. | Khadem won the Iranian national championship in 2015 and earned a remarkable second-place finish in the FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2015–16 in Tehran, competing successfully against higher-rated opponents.
