Zhu Jiner, born on 16 November 2002 in Jiaxing, China, is one of the brightest rising stars in women’s chess. She first made her mark by capturing the Girls U‑14 World Youth Championship, showcasing her prodigious talent at a young age. In August 2023, she achieved the prestigious Grandmaster (GM) title, becoming only the 41st woman in history to do so, highlighting her rapid rise through the international chess ranks. Known for a combination of tactical sharpness and solid positional understanding, Zhu crossed the 2500 Elo rating barrier and continued to demonstrate her strength in elite events. In the 2024‑25 FIDE Women’s Grand Prix, she delivered a standout performance, finishing in first place and earning qualification for the 2026 Candidates Tournament. As of November 2025, Zhu holds a classical rating of 2579, with rapid at 2435 and blitz at 2425. Her versatile opening repertoire as both White and Black, along with her consistent results, firmly establishes her among the next generation of elite global women’s chess players
